#65 to #71 around home and then back to Woodlands Historic Park

I managed to find a garden mantis amongst the remnants of what was once the front garden (it's now mostly weeds and grass that is way too long)

I also spent some time photographing the very, very common but still beautiful harlequin bugs that frequent my parents back garden in Hoppers Crossing.

Then last Saturday morning (February 17 2018) I went back to Woodlands Historic Park to see if I could find some more insects for the park list. I would have found many, many more insects this year if I had travelled even short distances, but I'm not trying to find as many as I can, I'm simply recording what I do find. And I did manage to find a few new ones for the park!
